The Great Purge

Been a bad blogger lately, but I’m trying to jump back onto the bandwagon.  As for what we’ve been doing?  Living life, working, going to school, and as of late, trying to get our hellhole into some sort of livable shape.  I always need some sort of externally-imposed deadline to get my off my sorry butt, and it came in the last few weeks in the form of the new trundle we ordered for Bug’s bed in a last-ditch effort to get her to sleep in her room.

Trouble is, we didn’t have room for the trundle in her room because over the past year (in which Bug moved into our bedroom) we’d let Bug’s room go to hell in a handbasket and it’s become a dumping ground.  So last Tuesday, coincidentally coinciding with the 10th anniversary of G and me moving into the house, I started a massive purge of stuff.  And lo and behold, the house looks pretty good!  Here’s Bug’s room with the trundle out:

And miracle of miracles, two nights into having the new bed and she’s still in it.  I am sleeping in the “big” bed until she’s comfy, but Bug moving back into her own room is a big step.

Since this is my first post of both the Western and the lunar new year, Happy New Year all!  Hope it’s going well for you all.  And here’s hoping Bug continues to like her new trundle!
